Korea Trip 2012 - Part 1 (Seoul, Jeju Island Day 1)

I always believe that travel posts should be laden with pictures as opposed to words, because only pictures will do justice to the places I visited.

Hence, I will let the pictures do the talking.

Our flight was at an unearthly hour, so most of us were asleep until my mom shook us awake to watch the sunrise.

The view from the plane:

When we landed:

That was the best Udon I've ever had.

Outside the Udon place:

Next stop was a "spa" or 찜질방:

Sis and I:

Mom and aunt:

After we (actually, just my sis) had a culture shock at the 찜질방 - cause naked women were strutting up and down in the locker room - we headed to another airport to fly to 제주도 (Jeju Island).

 In the plane:

Mom and I:

The first thing we did upon arrival was... EAT!

Doesn't that just look awesome?!

We then checked into our hotel for the night:

Yes, we were watching Lord of the Rings. With Korean subtitles.

Woke up at 7am to this breakfast spread:

I swear I got addicted to this stuff:

We then boarded the bus to head to 한라산 (Mount Halla):

On the way up:

It started snowing halfway and was really beautiful. Wish we could've captured it but our cameras weren't good enough. (Note: must invest in good camera for overseas trips!)

On board another bus:

At a village:

Okay. The meat you see down below actually comes from...

This fella right here:

Yup. Black pig. Which is a pity cause it's actually really cute, and it snorted in reply to my dad's loud prompting snorts. Haha.

Some side dishes we had with the pork (oops):

REALLY cute dog sitting in all "zen" in front of the restaurant:

Part 2 will be up soon!
