Sam Tsui and Kurt Schneider Asia Tour (Singapore) 2013

The title says it all.

I bought tickets a mere few days before the concert, so I could only get Circle seats as the floor seats had completely sold out.

The sis made a trip down just to watch the show:

Having a bite at ToastBox:

James had another gig to go to, so he brought his cello along:

At the location:

Was really excited:

Waiting to go in:

Sis made me buy the t-shirt for her.

The CD I bought:

The staging was simple. So simple that my sis and I panicked at first, wondering if it was just gonna be Sam on vocals, Kurt on keyboard and backing tracks; but luckily they brought 2 friends (drums and guitar) and it was a nice band. Would've liked Kurt to sing a bit though. AND the drums were a bit too loud during the ballads.

My sis and I wanted to jump to the floor seats at one point, because the people seated around us were so stuffy. They didn't know most of Sam's original songs, so they couldn't sing along; basically they were a boring bunch and my sis and I were the only idiots sitting upstairs who seemed remotely enthusiastic. The asshole sitting next to us didn't help - he kept sprouting nonsense to his girlfriend - my sis and I wanted to stuff our shoes down his throat. AND he was talking THROUGHOUT the concert!!

It was a good night though. LOL

Hope they come back again!

Korea Beauty Haul (Nuganic, MISSHA, UGB)

This is long overdue, but here are all the beauty-related stuff I got from Korea last December.

Nuganic Pure Snail Cream:

I use this as night cream, and it's working wonders! My skin doesn't break out anymore, and the cream doesn't make my face oily the next day. Will be very sad once I run out, because I don't think they have this brand in Singapore/Malaysia yet.

UGB Eye Cream:

I have yet to try this out, but my mom has, and apparently it's good.

UGB Crystal BB Cream:

I'm still using my TheFaceShop BB Cream (which seems to last forever) so it's gonna be awhile till I take this one out of the box.

UGB Face Mask:

Feels very luxurious on the skin, and after you peel it off, your skin feels really bouncy and smooth!

MISSHA BB Cream:

Again, have yet to open because TheFaceShop BB Cream's seem to have a bottomless pit even though I use it daily!

MISSHA Nail Polish:

My favourite:

This babies were unbelievably cheap. Like REALLY cheap. The ones you see above were going for only SGD2-3 each! Plus the quality rivals brands like OPI and China Glaze. There are a few MISSHA outlets in Singapore, but it's really expensive compared to the prices in Korea. *DUH*

MISSHA nail art tools:

MISSHA angled brush:

Another steal. The bristles are REALLY soft and it only cost SGD2!

L' Eau De MISSHA:

Love love love this scent. I'm not much of a perfume person, but I couldn't resist getting this because it was only SGD30!!!

Update: Blog posts will probably be up only once a month now because I've started work. So bear with me as I attempt to clear my backlog of posts. Cheers!

Botanical Gardens, Singapore (PICNIC)

I have to admit, I didn't have Singapore panned out as a country to have a picnic in, but I was proven wrong a couple months back when Shin decided to organize one with the YST folks.

It looked like we would have to retreat indoors at one point because it started raining like no tomorrow, but thankfully, the downpour stopped and we headed to our picnic spot.

Candid pic:

From left: James, Me, Serene, her brother (forgot his name haha)
Our spread:

Dominic, from Germany
Surrounded by greenery:

What's a YST outing without alcohol?

Jon doing the honours:

It started drizzling again, so we decided to move indoors for games!

It was boys versus girls for TABOO! Girls won by a few points ;) #kiasu #girlpower

Nightfall:

I'm not a picnic person, to be honest, but I really enjoyed being in this one. =) A word of advise to people who want to have picnics at Botanical Gardens, do bring mats/something to sit on, because there are ants and other creepy crawlies around so you'd want to protect your ass from getting bitten/stung/poked et cetera.

ONsemble @ Gardens by the Bay

Right-o, here's another LONG overdue post. My backlog of blog posts are getting so long that I probably have enough material to blog with until year 2015.

But I digress.

ONsemble is the first group of musicians invited to play in the "Flower Dome" at Gardens by the Bay. It was an interesting experience, playing amongst trees and flowers of all sorts. For a split second I was waiting for someone to go: the hills are aliiiiiive ~

For more pictures of the plants in the Dome, refer to THIS blog post.

Anyways, here are the official photographs taken that evening:

That's Professor Craig de Wilde speaking to the Australian High Commissioner.
