My Graduation 'July 2013

I'm almost a year behind in posts, I know. Wish I could say I've been too busy with work/family/students/colleagues etc but the truth is that I'm too lazy every time I log into Blogger. So be thankful I even decided to post this at all hehehehe...

And as per usual, this will be a picture centred post... centred around my GRADUATION!!

*Ahem, ahem... I now hold a "Bachelor of Music with Honours (Violin Performance)" Degree *

It was a pretty big affair, and it was held at the University Cultural Centre, located right next to the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music. And being the most supportive people in my life, my entire family came down to watch me collect a roll of paper from the President of NUS  graduate.

My aunts and sis:

4 years back during orientation:

Huy, Linh and myself (with the most horrendous haircut EVER):

With my biggest supporter (tied with Popo - who I wish could be there):

My favourite people in the world:

Found myself constantly wishing that Popo could be there, but then I told myself that she was watching from wherever she is cause she wouldn't miss my graduation for anything in the world - even an appointment with Him. *hmpf*

Sam Tsui and Kurt Schneider Asia Tour (Singapore) 2013

The title says it all.

I bought tickets a mere few days before the concert, so I could only get Circle seats as the floor seats had completely sold out.

The sis made a trip down just to watch the show:

Having a bite at ToastBox:

James and I:

James had another gig to go to, so he brought his cello along:

At the location:

Was really excited:

Waiting to go in:

Sis made me buy the t-shirt for her.

Sis and I:

The CD I bought:

The staging was simple. So simple that my sis and I panicked at first, wondering if it was just gonna be Sam on vocals, Kurt on keyboard and backing tracks; but luckily they brought 2 friends (drums and guitar) and it was a nice band. Would've liked Kurt to sing a bit though. AND the drums were a bit too loud during the ballads.

My sis and I wanted to jump to the floor seats at one point, because the people seated around us were so stuffy. They didn't know most of Sam's original songs, so they couldn't sing along; basically they were a boring bunch and my sis and I were the only idiots sitting upstairs who seemed remotely enthusiastic. The asshole sitting next to us didn't help - he kept sprouting nonsense to his girlfriend - my sis and I wanted to stuff our shoes down his throat. AND he was talking THROUGHOUT the concert!!

It was a good night though. LOL

Hope they come back again!
